Hi all. I understand you should be able to see a notice on this blog, if you are in the EU, about the new data regulations, and cookies and stuff. I don’t think it is displaying on mine. Anyone know what is supposed to be in it??  My suggestion is, if you are concerned about the way I or google uses cookies (huh??) then maybe follow the links on this page:

    I think my blogger gave me a warning about this? Saying it would have a popup or something. Ilona at MiniMumLoon might know more, she was asking about this a couple of weeks ago I think.

      Thanks so much Sheila. I will ask her if she could take a quick look! Although not sure who in the EU is going to check every single website on the planet for their compliance!

    Hey Shannon
    All the EU data protection laws changed on the 25th May and every registered company (Blogger included) were legally required to advise all their subscribers that they held [relative] information on them (e.g. email address). This data will be held securely as per the new DP regulations.
    Your blog does show the message as a banner in grey along the top when we, the reader, log into your post. It won't show to you when you go into your blogger account. We simply tick in the "ok" box and it disappears. My blog has it too.
    All a lot of fuss and bother - modern technology has a lot to answer for!

      Thanks Simon, that is great! I did get my husband to look on his work computer as he doesn’t have an account and therefore not logged in and he couldn’t see it. Thanks for confirming it is there! And yes it’s a lot of fushh - I think it’s probably a little late to worry too much about data sharing!
