Looks much better I think! I might add a little white to lighten it marginally but will see. In case you were interested, the paint was Folkart Almond Parfait and antiqued with Jo Sonja's fruitwood stain gel.
Here you can see the difference between the painted and the aged finish - big difference!
That stain gel worked wonders. I've never had any luck with it, just be user error. The shop looks great.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE IT! I agree with Keli, that the stain has worked wonders in giving the stone the French patina that it needed. This shop kit has Oooodles of character, Shannon and you just keep adding More! :))
ReplyDeleteI am realy amazed your house looks so beautiful. That's funny I've just started building my first house in the same style but I didn't show progress on my blog yet. I liked your blog very much so decided to follow you. it will be very nice if you will visit my blog and maybe follow.
ReplyDeletebig hugs to great miniaturist
It looks lovely. The stain has added just that bit more character.
ReplyDeleteMe gusta mucho el color!! Con la pátina de envejecido queda mucho mejor, una gran diferencia y le aporta realismo!!!
